Strong Passwords: Best Practices for Website Owner

Your password is the first line of defence against hackers. Weak or reused passwords make it easy for attackers to gain access. Here’s how to build strong, secure credentials.
1. Length Matters
Use at least 12–16 characters with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.
2. Avoid Common Words
Skip dictionary words, names, or predictable sequences like 123456.
3. Use a Password Manager
Password managers generate and store strong passwords for all your accounts.
4. Don’t Reuse Passwords
Each account should have a unique password. Reuse makes multiple accounts vulnerable.
5. Enable 2FA
Two-Factor Authentication adds an extra layer of protection beyond your password. See how to enable 2FA here.
Next Steps
Combine strong passwords with good security practices and regular backups for maximum protection.
